The Distinguished Innovator Speaker Series is the biggest, most visible entrepreneurship class designed for students at the University of Michigan (U-M) to interact with and learn from entrepreneurs. In the words of students, meetings and presentations associated with this class are tremendously stimulating and career changing. This class is designed to expose student to entrepreneurship in engineering through interaction with business leaders, venture capitalists, attorneys as well as individuals involved in emerging business models, new venture creation and technology commercialization. Featured speakers share their knowledge and real-life lessons and challenges covering the entire range of entrepreneurial
experiences: starting a company, funding entrepreneurial work, social entrepreneurship, or the latest, most diverse views and practices on legal, financial and other entrepreneurship related issues, etc.
